PRESS RELEASE: Wellness Forum: “Flat Tires: Treatment of Lower Extremity Wounds” Dr. Dekker McKeever, DMP will present a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum on Wednesday November 14th at 2:30 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 South Blake Avenue, in Sequim. Seating is limited so please arrive early.

This presentation will focus on foot wounds, why and how they happen, and what can be done to help. Dr. McKeever is often conservative in his diagnosis, seeking non-surgical approaches to healing and rehabilitation. However, when surgery is indicated, he is experienced in the most advanced contemporary technologies for wound care, ankle, Achilles tendon, rear foot and forefoot reconstruction, and total replacement.

Dekker McKeever was drawn to foot and ankle surgery when he injured his foot and suffered Jones fractures, surgical repair, and arduous rehabilitation. He developed tremendous respect for his podiatrist and determined then to pursue podiatric surgery as a DMP.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic—Sequim’s free clinic. The Clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Our work is supported by more than seventy volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond. We would like to thank our 2018 Fun Walk and Health Fair Platinum and above Sponsors: Olympic Ambulance, Sherwood Assisted Living, Castell Insurance, Molina Healthcare, Home Instead Senior Care and Sequim Tax Service, Olympic Medical Center, Cherie Gray-Edward Jones, Jamestown Family Health Clinic, Windermere Sequim East/Foundation, and DA Davidson.

The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 5:00 pm. Individuals interested in supporting the Clinic may call 360.582.0218.
