Wellness Forum “Types of Traumas”
Dr. Steven Adelman, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, will present a WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum on Wednesday December10th at 2:00-3:00 pm on KSQM FM (91.5) radio station.
Dr. Adelman was an officer in the United States Army, an experience he believes was a great teacher of life and human nature. While in the military, he completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in counselling services; and after retiring from the military, he worked as a therapist mainly with troubled children. He decided that to really help more, he would need a doctorate, so he studied at Forrest Institute of Psychological Sciences, where he completed his internship and residency, and then his second career as a Doctor of Psychology began.
He had found his niche and began his journey of helping people of all ages navigate mental health and move forward with their lives. Dr. Adelman has now spent 40 plus years in the Mental Health field, working with blended families, trauma victims, substance abuse, and child advocacy. He closed his practice in 2019 and moved to Washington where, during the Pandemic, he began working with Healthy Families and Sequim Free Clinic, where he works with traumatized children and adults.
WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health Wellness Clinic—Sequim’s free clinic. The Clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Our work is supported by more than seventy volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond. We would like to thank our 2025 Platinum Sponsors: Jamestown Family Health Clinic, Olympic Medical Center, KSQM FM Radio Station and Acrisure Insurance.
The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 5:00 pm. Individuals interested in supporting the Clinic may call 360.582.0218.
