WOW! Forum “Treating Trauma Issues For Children, Adults and Veterans”

Wellness Forum “Treating Trauma Issues For Children, Adults and Veterans”

Dr. Steven Adelman, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, will present a WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum on Wednesday July12th at 2:00-3:00 pm on KSQM FM (91.5) radio station.

Dr. Adelman was an officer in the United States Army, an experience he believes was a great teacher of life and human nature. While in the military, he completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in counselling services; and after retiring from the military, he worked as a therapist mainly with troubled children. He decided that to really help more, he would need a doctorate, so he studied at Forrest Institute of Psychological Sciences, where he completed his internship and residency, and then his second career as a Doctor of Psychology began.

He had found his niche and began his journey of helping people of all ages navigate mental health and move forward with their lives. Dr. Adelman has now spent 39 years in the Mental Health field, working with blended families, trauma victims, substance abuse, and child advocacy. He closed his practice in 2019 and moved to Washington where, during the Pandemic, he began working for Healthy Families, where he works with traumatized children and adults.
