Wellness Forum: “New Shipley Center Update”

Michael Smith, Executive Director, will present a free WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum on Wednesday July 9th at 2:00 pm on KSQM Radio at 91.5 FM Radio.

Michael Smith has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit world and has a heart for seniors and their needs. For the past 20 years he has led Sequim’s 1950-member Shipley Center in the achievement of its mission to encourage friendship, recreation, and education. Michael is especially proud of the Center’s recent purchase of the former JCPenney building, which is now being renovated into a new home for the organization. He is also very grateful to the Center’s dedicated board members, volunteers, and staff who make Shipley Center one of the most active, successful, compassionate, and fun organizations serving seniors in Western Washington.

In this forum he will update the listeners about what has already been happening in the remodeling of the building and what still needs to happen before it can be opened to the Shipley members and the city of Sequim.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic—Sequim’s free clinic. The Clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Our work is supported by more than seventy volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
