Wellness Forum “Bone Building, Body Mechanics & Fall Prevention?”

Vonnie Voris, PT, CLT, will present a WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum on Wednesday June 8th at 2:00-3:00 pm on KSQM FM (91.5) radio station.

Vonnie Voris is a Physical Therapy Specialist in Sequim with more than 35 years of diverse experience. Vonnie works at FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center in Sequim and receives referrals from many different doctors and specialists. Vonnie is the author of “How We Garden: Body Saving Advice from a Physical Therapist.” In this forum she will cover the many facets of how physical therapy can help people lead better lives, which she defines as lives filled with the activities they love.

Most people are familiar with physical therapy for the treatment of knee, hip, shoulder, neck and back pain. Vonnie's therapy does play these important roles, but over her long career she has also seen the scope of what PT can offer expand. Research has shown the efficacy of a physical approach to improved function, and Vonnie will explain and offer tips about PT's role in fall prevention; injury and spine fracture prevention; bone building; treatment of incontinence, pelvic prolapse, and pelvic pain; and management of swelling and lymphedema.
