Wellness Forum: “Back to Diabetes Basics”
In recognition of National Diabetes Month, Susan Sorensen, RN, will present a free WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum on Wednesday, November 11th, from 2:00–3:00 pm on KSQM FM Radio at 91.5 on the radio dial.
Diabetes affects millions of Americans, yet understanding the condition and how to manage it can make a significant difference in overall health and quality of life. During this informative conversation with KSQM FM DJ Olive Martini, Susan will take listeners “Back to Diabetes Basics,” helping them better understand this common chronic condition.
Listeners will learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of diabetes, understand the differences between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, and discover practical steps they can take to improve their health. Using the guidance of a simple five-pointed star, Susan will share an easy-to-understand approach to diabetes self-care and management.
A retired Air Force Registered Nurse, Susan has provided diabetes education in the community for more than 25 years. Her passion for helping others understand and manage their health is reflected in her enthusiasm for teaching.
Her message to listeners is both simple and empowering: “You are in charge of your diabetes!”
