WOW! Forum “Let's Talk About Sex: Sexuality and Aging”

Wellness Forum “Let's Talk About Sex: Sexuality and Aging”

Dr. Paul Cunningham will present a WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum on Wednesday December 14th at 2:00-3:00 pm on KSQM FM (91.5) radio station.

Dr. Paul Cunningham, Chief Medical Officer with Jamestown Family Health Clinic, will discuss common questions and general information about sexuality and aging. Sexuality is the way we experience and express ourselves sexually. It involves feeling, desires, actions, and identity and can include many different types of physical touch or stimulation. Intimacy is a feeling of closeness and connectedness in a relationship that can occur with or without a physical component. Sexual health is important at any age and the desire for intimacy is timeless.

Also joining Dr. Cunningham; Bertha Cooper, is a RN by profession, who spent decades in medical leadership positions developing and implementing programs and departments for hospitals and others. For example, 20 years ago she assisted OMC in creating their Cardiology and Pulmonary programs. She is also the author of "Women, We're Only Old Once!"

Dr. Cunningham is a physician board certified in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, and Hospice and Palliative Care. He is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine and Geriatric Fellowship at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Cunningham moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 2003 and has worked for 19 years at the Jamestown Family Health Clinic, where he is currently the Chief Medical Officer for Jamestown. He has provided care to patients of all ages, from birth to end of life, with a focus on older adults.
